- Caldera Action - Our mission is to foster active citizen participation in the restoration, protection, and appreciation of the Valles Caldera National Preserve, for the long-term benefit of the place itself, the American public, and visitors from around the world.

the impact the FS proposal will have on our adjacent 4,000 acre wildlife preserve.
- Quivira Coalition - The
Quivira Coalition fosters ecological, economic and social health on western landscapes through education, innovation,
collaboration, and progressive public and private land stewardship.
- Southwest Seminars - is
a Santa Fe, New Mexico educational nonprofit 501(c)3 organization that specializes in developing programs in Southwest studies:
including history, archaeology, art, literature, natural history, geology, ecology, biology, cultural affairs, and other Southwest
studies which are sensitive to the multicultural heritage and community traditions of its people, for the benefit of residents,
visitors, individuals, and groups. Its purpose is to educate, foster and encourage awareness, as well as to heighten cultural
sensitivity in the Southwest through seminars, lectures, conferences, educational and cultural tours.
- Earthworks Institute -
Earth Works is dedicated to protecting the integrity of the natural environment by developing and promoting models of natural
systems to create sustainable, self sufficient communities.
- The Valles Caldera Rim Trails - a grass roots effort with a goal of creating a sequence of interconnecting trails around the rim of the Valles Caldera National Preserve.
- Santa Fe Conservation Trust - The
Santa Fe Conservation Trust is dedicated to preserving the spirit of place among the communities of northern New Mexico by
protecting open spaces and critical wildlife habitat, by creating trails, and by protecting the traditional landscapes of our
diverse cultures.
- New Mexico Heritage Preservation
Alliance (NMHPA) - The New Mexico Heritage Preservation Alliance is a statewide, private non-profit organization that
promotes, protects, and advocates for New Mexico's heritage.
- Audubon
New Mexico - Audubon New Mexico (ANM) is devoted to the protection, preservation, and enjoyment of the environment, with a
particular emphasis on birds. ANM is part of the National Audubon Society and serves members in New Mexico.
- New Mexico Environmental Law
Center - The New Mexico Environmental Law Center works to protect New Mexico's communities and their environments through
public education, legislative initiatives, administrative negotiations and litigation.
- Conservation Voters -
Conservation Voters New Mexico is the political voice of the New Mexico conservation community. They are a nonpartisan, non-profit
organization dedicated to protecting the quality of life and the environment in New Mexico by empowering people to participate in
the political process, educating and holding politicians accountable and electing conservation-minded public officials.
- Amigos Bravos - formed in 1988 in response
to a proposed mineral waste disposal facility for the Molycorp molybdenum mine near Questa, New Mexico. Since successfully stopping this
controversial plan, Amigos Bravos has grown into a well respected environmental and social justice organization.
Other Organizations Around the Country
- Center for Biological Diversity -
the Center is working closely with other organizations, agency officials and the public to create positive reforms. We encourage all concerned citizens to join in this effort to reduce damages associated with off-road vehicles, to protect public trust resources, and to secure recreational opportunities for quiet users
- Wildlands CPR - was formed in
1994 as a national clearinghouse and network, created by a core group of sixteen organizations concerned about the dramatic
ecological impacts of wildland roads on public lands. Led by a staff of experienced conservationists, Wildlands CPR has always
worked in collaboration with other groups, and takes pride in its strong commitment to listening, dialogue, and the ability to
work with diverse constituents.
- The Wilderness Society - protects and conserves America's wilderness and roadless areas, including the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, and national forests, monuments, parks, and refuges.
- Trout Unlimited - Our mission is to conserve, protect and restore North America's coldwater fisheries and their watersheds.
- Great Old Broads for
Wilderness - a national, grassroots nonprofit organization dedicated to increasing, preserving and protecting America's
roadless public lands. Today there are Broads of all ages and both genders in every state in the union making their voices heard
to protect America's last wild places
- Earthjustice - a non-profit public interest law firm dedicated to protecting the magnificent places, natural resources, and wildlife of this earth, and to defending the right of all people to a healthy environment. We bring about far-reaching change by enforcing and strengthening environmental laws on behalf of hundreds of organizations, coalitions and communities.
- Concerned Parents for ATV Safety - is a network of parents
dedicated to reducing injuries and death among children driving powerful All Terrain Vehicles (ATVs). We offer support to victim’s
families and provide families with information and resources to make informed decisions about their children and ATVs. Through
public education we work to raise awareness of the need for adequate, common sense safety standards that keep children under 16
off ATVs, and for enforcement of ATV laws.
- Public Employees for Environmental Responsibility -
PEER is a national non-profit alliance of local, state and federal scientists, law enforcement officers, land managers and other professionals dedicated to upholding environmental laws and values.
- Colorado Wild - was formed in 1998 to protect, preserve, and restore the native plants and animals of the southern Rocky Mountains, focusing its efforts on habitat protection of Colorado’s forested, roadless, public lands and other ecologically important areas.
- White Mountain Conservation League - The White Mountain Conservation League (WMCL) is a local action group dedicated to sustaining and enhancing the White Mountain ecosystems and communities. The spectacular White Mountain region provides habitat for hundreds of plant and animal species.
- Idaho Conservation League - The Idaho Conservation League preserves Idaho's clean water, wilderness and quality of life through citizen action, public education, and professional advocacy.

- Desert Tortoise Preserve Committee - a non-profit organization formed in 1974 to promote the welfare of the desert tortoise (Gopherus agassizii) in its native wild state. - SISKIYOU PROJECT - For future generations of all species, the Siskiyou Project is the grassroots network dedicated to permanently protecting the globally outstanding forests, botanical areas and wild salmon streams of the Siskiyou Wild Rivers area.
- The Utah Quiet Forests Coalition - Off Road vehicles (ORVs) have become one of the greatest threat to America’s public lands. They destroy habitat, damage riparian areas, degrade water quality, pollute the air and disturb both wildlife and humans who prefer quiet in the outdoors.
- Bark-out.org - watchdogs federal land agencies to make sure they manage the forest in the public interest.
Bark aims to halt all logging and forest destruction until permanent protection of public forests is achieved.
- Sierra Club -
The Sierra Club reaffirms its support for the Wilderness Act's prohibition of "mechanized modes of transport," including non-motorized vehicles, from entry into designated wilderness.
- Wild Wilderness - In the summer of 1997 Wild
Wilderness created a website to warn the general public about plans to privatize, commercialize and motorize America's National Forests. Since
that time we have been researching the issue, speaking out, educating the media, and providing guidance to undeveloped recreation enthusiasts all
over the country.
- Republicans for Environmental Protection - was formed in 1995 to resurrect the GOP's great conservation
tradition and to restore natural resource conservation and sound environmental protection as fundamental elements of the
Republican Party's vision for America.

- Natural Trails & Waters
Coalition - The Natural Trails and Waters Coalition works to protect and restore all public lands and waters from the damage
caused by dirt bikes, jet skis and all other off-road vehicles. To achieve its mission, the Coalition is using a variety of
legislative, administrative, legal, media, and grassroots strategies targeted at those who manage or make decisions or policies
regarding our state and federal public lands.

Clearinghouse - We have organized to raise awareness of noise pollution and help communities take back the commons from those
acting like bullies. Our efforts include building a library of resources and tools concerning noise pollution, establishing links
to other groups that have similar collections, establishing networks among local noise activists, assisting communities and
activists who are working to reduce noise pollution, and monitoring and advocating for stronger noise controls.
